WHO AM I?

Oh hey! My name is Malea, a 21 year old from Madison, WI.

My passion in life is bringing joy to those around me, and theatre is my outlet! Growing up in a very musical family, I’ve been performing from a young age. I always followed in the footsteps of my older sister (love you Leanna), which pushed me to find my true passion in singing, dancing, and acting. My journey in theatre has also led me to explore other creative avenues, including costume and wig design, stage combat, choreography, etc. I love exploring the outdoors, playing guitar, and painting! Theatre and the community it creates inspires me every day and fills my life with purpose and joy.

What have I been up to?

I am currently finishing up my degree as a Senior BFA Music Theatre Major at Illinois Wesleyan University. Some recent IWU credits include Carrie the Musical (Carrie), Holiday Inn (Linda), Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical (Barb), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Dance Captain, Helena U/S), and coming up soon 35mm (Voice 1).

What's next for me?

I'm currently in rehearsals for 35mm (Voice 1) on the mainstage at IWU. It's been an exciting challenge so far in the rehearsal process and I'm ready to show off some fun vocals!

I'm on track to graduate early May of 2026 and I'm thrilled to see where the next chapter takes me!
